Resume Bullet Point Examples: From Duties to Results
Before-and-after resume bullet examples across roles, plus a formula you can reuse to turn any job duty into a bullet recruiters remember.

Most resumes describe responsibilities. The ones that get interviews describe outcomes. The difference often isn't the experience itself — it's how each bullet is written.
The formula: action + what + result
Start with a strong verb that says what you did. Add enough context to show scale or complexity. Finish with the result — a number, a change, or a consequence someone cared about.

Order matters
Put the bullet most relevant to the target job first in each role. Recruiters often read the first one or two bullets and skim the rest.
